Alexander Payne to receive honorary award at European Film Festival; Learn more about the event

The renowned director Alexander Payneknown for films such as Sideways and The Descendantswill be awarded the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival. The event, which will run from August 16 to 23, will celebrate Payne’s “outstanding contribution to the art of cinema.”

In addition to the prize, Payne will offer a masterclassand will address aspects of his career, and will present a special session of Sideways. The festival will also feature the presence of Jim Taylora long-time collaborator of the director.
