This year or early next year, (S. Craig) Zahler and I will be working together again. He wrote an incredible script about the gangster era in 1950s New York, and Adrien Brody will be in it as well. It’s going to be great, I’m excited.”
The Bookie & the Bruiseris a crime thriller set in 1959 New York and follows the story of two friends, Rivner (played by Brody) and Boscolo (played by Vaughn). Rivner is a Jew and Boscolo is an Italian-American, both World War II veterans.
