Quinota asks to speak with Ariosto, and Marcelo Gouveia and Deodora manage to escape without being seen. Arthur wakes up in captivity. Quinota is surprised by Ariosto’s answer about Artur, and asks his father-in-law again to dissolve the partnership with Zefa Leonel at the Blue Grotto.
Cira overhears the conversation between Quinota and Ariosto and deduces that the girl is pregnant. Fé reinforces his suspicion that Quinota is pregnant by Marcelo Gouveia. Blandina returns all the money she stole from Dracena.

Ariosto tells Deodora that she must keep Artur away until she can find the source of the tourmaline mine. Quintilha announces that she is engaged to Primo Cícero. Deodora believes that Ariosto he will ask her to marry him. Zefa Leonel threatens Blandina.

Quinota thanks Marcelo Gouveia for helping her save Artur and says she has learned to forgive the boy. Deodora feels humiliated by Ariosto and tears Zefa Leonel’s clothes.
Tia Salete and Floro Borromeu go to Sabá Bodó and Nivalda’s house. Zé Beltino vents his anger with Dracena and asks her if the girl has ever loved anyone. Deodora threatens Ariosto.
Zefa Leonel tells Seu Tico Leonel that the time has come to share his fortune with his children. Vespertino suffers from Deodora’s passion for Ariosto. Ariosto saves Deodora at the cabaret. Artur manages to escape from captivity, but is captured again when he meets Quinota.

Marcelo Gouveia defeats the prison guard and escapes with Artur and Quinota. Juquinha looks for Blandina and says he was hurt by her departure.
Blandina catches Dracena and Zé Beltino talking, very close. Marcelo Gouveia manipulates Quinota and Artur, who thanks his friend for saving his life. Jordão Nicácio warns Ariosto of Artur’s escape. Deodora advises Ariosto.

Fé and Cira believe that the Leonels want to atone for the sin of Quinota’s alleged pregnancy. Dona Castorina speaks with Blandina about Zé Beltino’s condition and decides to leave her daughter. Zefa Leonel informs her family that she will divide her fortune among her heirs. Quinota ends her marriage to Artur.
24/08 – Saturday
Artur begs Quinota to reconsider her decision to end the marriage. Deodora tells Ariosto that the two must prepare for a war against Zefa Leonel. Aldenor celebrates his part in Leonel’s inheritance, and Margaridinha reveals that she has never felt part of the family.
Blandina despairs over the disappearance of Dona Castorina and asks Dracena for help. Zé Beltino welcomes Dona Castorina to Rancho Fundo. Quinota reveals to Zefa Leonel that Ariosto is with Deodora.
