A few years after winning an Oscar for Best Actress, Halle Berry starred in Catwoman, which became one of the biggest flops of her career.

With an extensive and successful career and even a Oscar of Best Actress for the work in The Last Supper (2001), Halle Berry had some public and critical failures, such as Catwomanreleased on July 19, 2004 in the United States.

More than 20 years after its release, the production directed by Pitof goes through some revisions and sometimes comes back to be commented on the internet. Now, the artist took the opportunity to defend the film against the various negative reviews, and noted how a young audience has enjoyed the movie.

During an interview with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote The League (2024), the artist was asked about the 20th anniversary of Catwoman. In her response, the 58-year-old artist recalled the filming and the reception from the public and specialist critics.

“I loved it. It was criticized – the critics said it was f***ing bad… and f***ing isn’t that bad,” he said. “What makes me happy is that kids have found it on the internet now and they love it. So, it’s so vindicating.” Plus, Halle Berry was asked if she would reprise the role: “Maybe, if I could direct.”

Because now they’re saying it’s cool and what was everybody’s problem with it, so like, I’m like, ‘I’m so Brat now.’

In addition to Berry, the cast of Catwoman counted on Sharon Stone (Laurel Hedare), Benjamin Bratt (Tom Lone), Frances Conroy (Ophelia), Alex Borstein (Sally), Lambert Wilson (George Hedare), Byron Mann (Wesley), Michael Massee (Armando), among others. Read the synopsis below:
