This sci-fi series about the multiverse will have a second season

If the complex world of dark matter fascinated you, there is good news: the Apple TV+ platform will renew the series for a 2nd season. Adapted from Blake Crouch’s novel, rated as one of the best science fiction works of 2010.

The story follows Jason Dessen, a physics professor and father who is kidnapped one night by a masked alien. This individual traps him in an alternate version of his life. Hoping to find his family and past life, he must use the box he created to navigate between these multiple realities.

Season 2 update has been made official on X (formerly Twitter): “In this reality, there will be a second season of Dark Matter.”

The author of the novel, Blake Crouch, who is also the creator and producer of the series, spoke about the sequel:Thanks everyone for being there for Season 1, thanks to the book fans and newcomers alike.

He continues: “During the writing and filming of the first season, we discovered that there was a lot more story to tell, and we only scratched the surface of these characters struggling to survive and navigate multiple realities. See you in the box!
