Continuing with the tributes after the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds made a new post to remember the journey of Hugh Jackman back to the role of Wolverineafter the actor retired the character in Logan2017 film.
“On August 14, 2022, Hugh Jackman stopped the car to call me. He was having a bad week… He had the flu, two flat tires, and some idiot threw eggs at his house. But what happened next happened fast. He told me he wanted to bring the Wolverine back”Reynolds began.
The actor went on to say that both he and the director Shawn Levy were feeling worried about the responsibility of keeping all the movie’s surprises a secret, but seeing Jackman back in character, wearing the iconic yellow costume from the comics, was a relief. “Everyone knew something special was happening. I remember thinking everything was going to be okay.”he added.
Reynolds still celebrated the opportunity to “watch and learn from my friend and favorite actor”: “I don’t know anyone more thoughtful, kind and elegant than this man. He will do anything for someone he loves. He will do anything for someone he just met.”he praised.

What is the story of Deadpool & Wolverine?
In Deadpool & Wolverineafter a great disappointment in his life, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) decided to retire Deadpool and chose to continue as a simple — and impatient — car salesman.
However, when the Chatty Mercenary is kidnapped by the Time Variance Authority, the AVT, he discovers that his reality is at risk of being extinguished, along with the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), and his friends.
At the agency, Deadpool also discovers that he needs his arch-enemy, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), to try to reverse the situation. Annoyed, he goes after the hero, but when he thinks he has everything in hand to solve the problem, the duo’s path crosses with that of Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin, The Crown), the professor’s evil twin sister Charles Xavier.

Completing the cast Aaron Stanfordof X-Men 2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2007), which returns as Pyro; Daphne Keenof Logan (2017), which comes back to life Laura/X-23; and Matthew Macfadyen from the series Succession (2018-2023), which plays the Mr. Paradoxan AVT agent.
