Actresses, who played Elphaba and Glinda in the theater, will lend their voices to the characters in the film adaptation
Universal Pictures Brazil announced, this Tuesday (20), the actresses Myra Ruiz and Fabi Bangwho lived Elphaba and Glinda in the Brazilian assembly of Wickedas the voices of the characters in the national version of the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical.
Myra Ruiz will interpret, again, Elphabawhich is originally lived by Cynthia Erivo (Harriet); while Fabi Bang will be, once again, Glindaplayed by the actress and singer Ariana Grande (Don’t Look Up). Check out the ads:

What is the story of Wicked?
The novel tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphababefore becoming the Wicked Witch of the Westand Glindathe future Good Witch of the Southwho become best friends, even with opposite personalities, different points of view and the fight for the love of the same man. Watch:

In addition to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grandethe cast of Wicked still has Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Travel Companions), Bowen Yang (Megaromantic, Saturday Night Live) and Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere at Once), between others.

Previously scheduled for November 28, Wickeddirected by Jon M. Chuof In a New York Neighborhood (2020), will hit Brazilian theaters a week earlier, from November 21stfreeing him from the dispute with Moana 2with whom he shared the previous date.
