This is a particularly anticipated film: we’ve known for several years now that Kate Winslet was to play this woman of incredible fortune, Lee Miller.
Lee Miller was the first photo model to appear on its cover Vogue. He then became a front-line photographer during World War II. He was also one of the first people to film the horrors of the Buchenwald and Dachau concentration camps.
The film will be released in cinemas in France on October 9. The trailer has just been released.
Kate Winslet is joined by Marion Cotillard and Jude Law as well as Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Connor in this feature film directed by Ellen Kuras and simply titled Lee Miller and “Lee” internationally.
According to the director, “This is absolutely not a biopic. What we wanted to do was find the most interesting decade of his life that defined who he was and who he became because of what he went through. It was the period from 1938 to 1948 that took him into the middle of the war.“
Lee Miller marks the reunion of Marion Cotillard, Jude Law and Kate Winslet more than 10 years after Steven Soderbergh’s Contagious!
