Warning, this article contains spoilers for the final episode of The Boys Season 3!
If you finished the third season of The Boys on Prime Video, you know that Black Noir died at the hands of Homelander in the last episode. However, series creator Eric Kripke made a surprising discovery about her in the column.Entertainment Weekly : Super will return for season 4!
But that doesn’t mean the damaged ear, whose psychology was explored in the episode before his death, will be reanimated. In fact, it’s a new character who will take on the black noir costume always played by Nathan Mitchell.
A possible insult, as the actor never appeared openly in the series. The only time we see Black Noir without his mask is in flashbacks, and he was played there by another comedian, Fritz-Klevans Destine.
For EW, Eric Kripke recalled how he broke the news to someone who had previously slipped into a super-quiet shoe: “I think I literally said something like, “Okay, I’ll tell you something that will turn your stomach, but then I’ll go on to something else and you’ll see that everything will be fine.”“
The reason Nathan Mitchell wasn’t in the flashback scenes was so he could leave for another role in Season 4 without shocking the audience! And not any character, because he will play “A different character wearing a black noir costume“, the screenwriter specified.
Then add:This is certainly not the last we see of Black Noir’s hero. It’s just that the guy who was inside in season 3 is dead. But we have Nathan playing a really interesting and fun character who will be wearing the suit next season.“
A new black noir we don’t know if it will be on Seven’s side or the boys’ side, but who will it be.studied as the season progressed“. After an ear that imagines animated animals around him, we can’t wait to discover what the authors have prepared for the new version of Super!
