Mark Wahlberg, currently starring in the action comedy The Union on Netflix, is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. “At first I thought, ‘Well, this has to be as realistic and believable as possible. We’re in Boston, it’s about gangsters. You don’t often see films like this, I envisioned an ensemble film. “Talking about my personal situation or the opportunity it might give me as an actor.” He trusted the American podcast happy sad confused. “Then I read the script and thought, ‘Actually, this role is something special.’
Her performance earned her an Oscar nomination
His performance in Martin Scorsese’s film is one of the most memorable of his career. The Academy Awards also awarded the film its first Academy Award nomination, in the Best Supporting Actor category.
More surprising: he was the only actor in the film to be nominated for an Oscar that year, while Scorsese was awarded the statuette for best director (the first – and only – of his career!).

Despite the bitter experience of filming, the latter has since felt that everything was ultimately positive. And his prolific acting career in Hollywood certainly has as much to do with the success of this thriller as any other.
