Shiloh Jolie drops Brad Pitt’s last name after filing lawsuit
Daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Shiloh secured the change of her name in court. The young woman was baptized as Shiloh New Jolie-Pittbut now it’s just called Shiloh Jolieconfirmed the People. The request to change his surname was made on his 18th birthday, in May of this year.
In July, the petition for Shiloh was delayed by the court. “Unfortunately, the court was unable to complete the background check prior to today’s hearing, so the hearing has been rescheduled for August 19,” her attorney revealed, Peter Levineto People.
“Everyone who files a name change application must undergo a background check conducted by the court clerk, and due to an administrative error, the name change hearing was postponed. Shiloh has been postponed to a new date,” he explained.
In the same month, Shiloh needed to publish an advertisement in Los Angeles Times reporting the name change. According to California law, legal forms for the name change request must be published in the legal notice section of a newspaper within one month.
