Despite its success at the worldwide box office, the release of This is how it endsfilm adaptation of best seller homonym of Colleen Hooverhas been overshadowed by an alleged feud between Blake Lively (gossip Girl), protagonist of the novelty, and Justin Baldoni (Five Feet Away from You)), who directs and co-stars in the new film.
Now, the The Hollywood Reporter revealed that a dispute over which version of the film would be released in theaters was the final straw in the relationship between the protagonists. While Lively I preferred the version that ended up reaching the big screen, Baldoni had another cut in mind.
The inconvenience of Lively with Baldoni’s vision of the story, which addresses psychological abuse and domestic violence, already existed at the time of the recordings and, at a certain point, the actress, who is also a producer of It Ends With Us, asked her husband, Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool & Wolverine), rewrote the script, but Baldoni reportedly rejected the new version of the story.

In the story, Lily Bloom (Lively) is a woman with a traumatic childhood who decides to start her life over in Boston, fulfilling her dream of opening a flower shop. In this new phase, she meets the charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni, Jane The Virgin), with whom he falls madly in love.
However, as Lily and Ryle become more and more involved, she begins to notice behaviors in her beloved that are reminiscent of her parents’ relationship. With the relationship shaken, Lily still finds his first love again, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar, 1923), which makes her realize that she needs to trust her own strength to make an important decision for her future.
