Tonight With Friends: Lines from this movie have been part of our conversations for over 30 years

We are in Cannes and the festival has just started.

In a small movie theater, after a screening of the mediocre Z-movie “Red is Dead,” in which a serial killer kills his victims with a hammer and sickle, press secretary Odile Deray tries desperately to contain the shocked reporters. But while everyone goes off to do more interesting things, the projectionist is suddenly killed by a masked stranger who uses the exact same methods as in the movie.

The opportunity is too good to create a “red is dead” excitement. Odile immediately summons the film’s male star (the delightful Simon Jeremy) and hires bodyguard Serge Karamazov to ensure his protection throughout the festival.

A mythic replica in chaos

“Get lost you fool!” “When I’m happy, I get it.” “Get the gum, Emil!” “You can fool a thousand people once, but you can’t fool a thousand times…” “No, that’s my dog.”

Funny and memorable lines to repeat in the evening, with friends or even colleagues when the situation is right, the city of fear is literally full of them!

If you are sensitive to the absurd humor of Alain Chabat, mostly inspired by ZAZ and which already shined in all Les Nuls sketches during the 80s, this movie is a must see!

Imperial cast and unforgettable scenes

As legendary as The Three Brothers may be for fans of The Strangers, this completely insane feature film should be (re)discovered as a priority by people who have the same sense of humor as you and with whom you especially enjoy sharing a laugh.

Featuring a four-star cast (Alain Chabat, Chantal Laub, Gerard Darmon, Dominic Farrugia and Sam Carman, to name a few), Fear City is also a fest of memorable sequences (no pun intended). eccentric than others. For example, the butchery, the chase on the Croisette, the romantic scene between Odile Derey and Commissioner Biales, or the famous Carioca.

Of course, fans of the movie know exactly what we’re talking about. For the rest, a fun little meeting is in order!
