The PL candidate has a numerical advantage in all scenarios over the current mayor, Rogério Santos (Republicans)
A survey released a few hours ago by the Instituto Paraná Pesquisas shows that the electoral race for mayor of Santos-SP maintains a stable scenario, with the candidate Rosana Valle (PL) ahead of the current president, Rogerio Santos (Republicans). In the stimulated scenario, the Bolsonarista opens a gap of 5.8 percentage points on Rogério: from 38.6% to 32.8%. The candidate Thelma de Souza (PT) appears with 15.6%. Already Nando Pinheiro (Forward) scores 1.1%.
In the spontaneous section, when voters express their preferences without an alternative answer, Rosana leads the scene with 20.8% of voting intentions, followed by the current mayor, who adds 16.8%, and the PT candidate, who appears with 3.9%. They don’t know or don’t have an opinion, representing 50%. Whites and nonentities, 6.8%.
The Paraná Pesquisas study also shows that, in two months, the Bolsonarista has doubled her percentage of voting intentions. In June of this year, Rosana, in her second term as a federal deputy, had 10.8% of the votes of the Santos electorate.
According to the candidate of the PL majority, leading the coalition “Santos Valle Much Mais”, also composed of MDB, Mobiliza and PRD, the Paraná Pesquisas survey consolidates the population’s desire for change:
“There are still 40 days left until the elections and we remain in the lead in terms of Santos’ preference. I am honored by this recognition from the population, since we are conducting a clean and targeted campaign, in all the neighborhoods of the city. We have a strong political group, which knows the problems of Santos and which has developed, in an integrated way, an efficient government plan, which includes dealing with the chronic problems of health, public safety and urban mobility”, observes Rosana, whose deputy is the former councilor Sadao Nakai (MDB).

In a likely second-round scenario, the Paraná Pesquisas study shows that the Bolsonarista has maintained an advantage over the current president, with 3.8 percentage points over Rogério – from 46.8% to 43%. They do not know or do not have an opinion, representing 3.5%. Empty and void spaces, 6.8%:
Support for Rosana
President of the State Executive of PL Mulher de São Paulo, Rosana has the support of Jair Bolsonaro, former President of the Republic and Honorary President of the PL, and Michelle Bolsonaro, former first lady of Brazil and national president of PL Mulher. The couple also attended, in Santos, the launch of Rosana’s pre-campaign. Held on 14/7 (Sunday), the event brought together more than 5 thousand people.
Methodology
The Instituto Paraná survey was conducted personally, from August 23 to 26. The survey’s confidence level is 95% and the margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 points. The study is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number SP-02919/2024.
