This is where it all begins: “I had one eye that I couldn’t open!” Galaad Kenuillier recounts filming Judas’ attack.

Here it all begins (Monday to Friday at 18:35 on TF1), Jude has just suffered a terrible attack… Gilead Queuenweiler, his translator, spoke to AlloCiné to get back to this shocking plot.

What are the consequences of this terrible event for the character and Matteo, his lover, played by Louis Bucquet? What will return to the Auguste Armani Institute bring to the couple? An actor is doing things with our mic…

AlloCiné: How does Judy feel after her very traumatic attack in “This Is Where It All Begins”?

Gilead Distaff :”traumatic“, that’s the term. And he’s all the more traumatized because it’s happened to him in the past… What’s also bothering him this time is that he doesn’t know who did it to him. That… he feels like he’s in a dangerous environment, even though , that he finally felt safe in the institute.

Will it have psychological after effects?

He already has it because he built his personality around it after the first attack. He is a very structured person who avoids work. Will this increase in the future?

I don’t know yet, but at the moment he’s a stressed-out man whose old demons are resurfacing, but he still manages not to completely suppress his emotions because his foundation is solid.

How will Jude and Mateo react when they find out who is really responsible for this attack?

They are very surprised because we don’t expect it. This will obviously affect Mateo as well. The latter will have to choose a side and position himself very upright for the first time… Matteo will face all this, which is also very traumatic for him, in the end.

Is it important to you to protect this kind of intrigue that sends messages?

Yes, this is the opinion of the actor. We tell stories, not just good news. Here, it’s ugly, but it has to be said. I think we are in a trend in our society that is moving towards the best and we should continue to talk about these types of topics. Especially in broadcasting times like ours, this is important.

How did it feel playing those scenes and seeing your face covered in makeup as if Judy was injured?

It helps us during the game because we are already physically uncomfortable. I had one eye that was struggling to open! Once I got ready and passed people in the corridor and everyone was shocked… Some people thought I had really had a car accident! (laughs)

When it comes to makeup, the people who cared about me are around people who have been victims of attacks for this reason. When I got ready, I felt something threatened and I had things close to the heart of “my loved ones” on the set.

What awaits Jude at the beginning of the academic year at the Auguste Armand Institute?

Jude is over the moon that Mateo is joining the Institute! But this means that her boyfriend will often be… (laughs) In the beginning everything is beautiful, everything is rosy. After that, when we’re with a person for 24 hours, that’s the beginning of relationship problems… but they’re still quite problems, let’s say!

For a professional, there will be the rest of the Master’s where you have to outdo yourself, where there is this competitive aspect between students. You have to be among the best to achieve goals and rewards that are only reserved for certain people…

how do you know Lewis Bouquet Who plays Mateo?

We get along really well! This guy is really cute. At first you were shy and stressed, that’s normal. Every time I shoot with new people, I always think about myself, obviously, when I arrived and how tense I was on set. It was pretty intense! (Laughs) Louie came then very quickly started making game suggestions etc… Everyone loves it, I can’t say it better!

Do you plan to stay on the show for a long time?

I’m not going to go. Also, the production is relatively flexible: if I have other projects – for me it’s more dance – they let me go there. They try their best to respect our personal and professional balance as it is closely related. And that balance is pretty good on my end!
