Christmas promises to be electric in French cinemas! Because Sonic 3 is coming out on December 25th. Still directed by Jeff Fowler, director of the first two installments, with the same actors: James Marsden and Jim Carrey in front of the camera. And then there’s that major news that was leaked at the end of the previous episode: The Shadow, the big villain of this story, which will have the Keanu Reeves ring in English. And the Matrix and John Wick star’s penchant for martial arts, given the spectacular trailer released this Tuesday, August 27, four months before the feature film hits our theaters.
Images that clearly emphasize the fact that Shadow will be Sonic’s negative. Because when Sega’s mascot found a family after his chaotic arrival in our world, his opponent’s life was filled with pain and loss. Obstacles that made him more dangerous and unrelenting, to the point where the hero had to ally with… Dr. Robotnik.

This probably won’t be the only surprise of the feature film, in which fans of the video game franchise are already expecting to see characters like Amy Rose or Metal Sonic, or even hints of their presence in a hypothetical fourth film. Gifts befitting the atmosphere at work on the film’s release day, which should do better than its predecessors, which grossed $319.7 million and $405.4 million worldwide, respectively.
