Will Rose’s plan to save Enzo work?
After deciding to step down as co-director of Enzo’s master’s degree, DeLobel informed Teissier by phone. Once he hangs up, Rose offers to have lunch with him at Double A to explore other profiles for the position. The director accepts.
At lunch, Rose points out to DeLobel the quality and originality of their dish, which the chef confirms. Rose then calls Anais over to their table to congratulate them… and to reveal that the day’s menu has been prepared by Enzo and his entire team from the pop-up restaurant. DeLobel understands that he has been manipulated and he does not like it.
He goes straight to the kitchen, forced to see Enzo directing his brigade with a deft hand. Regardless, he orders her to leave the building, then summons Jude, Vic, and Milan at the end of the service.
In Rose’s presence, DeLobelle asks Jude, Vic, and Milan to name Enzo’s qualities as a leader. Judy points out that she is a great cook and that she can get them all to work together despite their differences. Vicki emphasizes her impartiality, as he did not hesitate to remove her from his position as chef of an ephemeral restaurant when necessary, even though she was his lover. As for Milan, he told De Lobel that re-signing him would be a real disaster. Therefore, the latter decides to officially offer Enzo the position of co-director of the Master.
In the hallway, Rose approaches Milan to encourage her to take the institute’s entrance exam. When he replies that he doesn’t feel at home at the institute, Rose admits that he has also served time in prison. He gives her his number in case he changes his mind. Anais, who has heard everything, joins Milan after Rosie leaves. It proves to him that he has talent. Anyway, best of luck to him in the future.
Milan then meets Enzo, who announces the good news to his parents over the phone. The latter thanks him for protecting him against DeLabel, then questions him about what will happen next. Milan finally decided to try the competition, even if he does not believe at all that he will be taken. However, Enzo believes that he has a great place in the institute.
Leonardo meets his idol
Before Penelope invites Maya and Leonard to join her, Carla and Berenice place bets on the students who will succeed in the institute’s competition, Sabre, Olivia Listrac’s godson, walks in on them. Leonardo recognizes him immediately because he is his fan. Maya explains to Penelope that she is a famous gamer.
A little later, Leonard approaches Sabre, pesters her with questions about the eSports competition and her injury, and then asks her to take a selfie. Annoyed, Sabri refuses, explaining that she will never be able to play video games like she used to and wants to move on to something else by taking up cooking.
Joining Maya, Leonard feels guilty for putting Sabre in such an uncomfortable position. Her best friend plays up the drama, then tries to get information out of her about Sabre’s cooking level because she decided to enter the bet.
At the end of the day, Leonard returns to Sabri to apologize for the inconvenience. The latter does not oppose him, especially since three other girls came to see him to ask him specific questions. Leonard admits that bets are placed on students who pass the institute’s competition. If his friends don’t bet on him because of Cassie’s arm, Leonard is confident that Sabrey still has every chance. Confident, he offers to bet on her and says she will win.
Zoe runs into her father
At the Lanneau home, Stephanie discovers a check that was supposed to be sent 3 weeks ago to pay for Ines’ dance lessons. Zoe decides to take matters into her own hands and convinces her sister to call her dance teacher directly to negotiate. Unfortunately, the courses are full.
Zoe hands the check back to her father. He promises that he didn’t forget the deadline on purpose and swears that he will work things out together. Zoe, used to such talk, no longer believes it. Faced with his complaints, the young girl gets angry and emphasizes that she takes care of everything and has become a huge burden for the family. Before leaving, he says that he will embarrass his mother.
Zoe goes to the institute for the summer internship aperitif. He steps aside to call his father and apologize for his comments, which he regrets. But he doesn’t answer. Lionel offers to go see her while she enjoys the party.
Back at the amphitheater, Lionel makes Zoe believe that their father has found a job in security. He adds that he has an important trip to ensure and his plane takes off this evening. Zoe is deeply relieved.
In fact, Lionel confides to Solal that his father abandoned them, leaving behind a phone and a note:The best thing is to go. You will be happier without me. I don’t want to put my illness on you anymore“…
