The ceremony celebrates the resilience and strength of agribusiness in Rio Grande do Sul with parades and tributes to flood heroes
On the morning of Friday, August 30, the official opening of the 47th Expointer moved the public at the Assis Brasil Exhibition Park, in Esteio, highlighting the strength and recovery of the agricultural sector in Rio Grande do Sul. The ceremony was attended by the authorities, parades of champion animals and a musical performance by the Military Brigade band, celebrating the resilience of the population of Rio Grande do Sul after the floods that hit the state.
With the theme “Indicator of Recovery and Recovery”, the event symbolized the spirit of overcoming that marked the recovery of the agricultural sector after the severe floods of April and May. The ceremony began with the performance of the national anthem and, shortly after, the parades of champions and tributes to the professionals who worked in relief efforts during the disaster.
One of the most touching moments was the appearance of the horse Caramelo, who became a symbol of hope after his moving rescue during the flood. The presence of the animal leading the procession of heroes, including members of the Civil Protection, Military Brigade, health workers, social assistance and volunteers, reinforced the climate of solidarity and the importance of collective work to overcome the adversities faced by the Rio Grande do Sul community.
