Here it all begins: “It’s a great reward” … Lionel in the middle of the new arch, Lucien Bellevue’s trust

This is where it all starts, Lionel (Lucien Belves) has a lot to manage. Between her failed master’s degree, family problems, and recent breakup with Kelly (Axel Dodier), it’s a very difficult time she’s facing. Events will accelerate in the thousandth episode of the series, where Elliot (Nicolas Anselmo) and Greg (Mikael Mittelstadt) will return.

In connection with this incredible milestone, the editorial team of AlloCiné visited the filming of the daily newspaper. He took the opportunity to speak with Lucien Bellevue, who will be at the center of this very special arch to say the least!

AlloCiné: What has Lionel been like since his breakup?

Lucien Belves : Let’s say he has other worries to solve his minor family problems: his father’s illness, his sister’s desire to join an institute, perhaps. I think he is sad, but his mind is elsewhere.

Can you tell us more about this arc coming up that will involve the entire Lano family?

Let’s say that the trauma of Lionel’s mother’s death resurfaced, especially for his father, who did not really survive him. He is deeply depressed and completely burnt out. As a result, Lionel will be forced to take care of his two sisters, especially the older one, to help him achieve his goals. This will help the baby to continue living as normally as possible.

What do you think about the thousandth return of your comrades?

It’s nice! It’s awesome, it brings back so many good memories. Here, for example, I had a scene with Mika, it was a reunion scene, and immediately there is something and we see that there is a ticket between us.

Were you surprised by the announcement of their return?

Not so much, because we heard about it a little earlier. When we hear about it, we text each other. We say to ourselves: “Hey, I heard that! What are you going to do? Are you going to come back or not?”

What’s it like filming the 1,000th episode when you’ve been there since day one?

Well, I was just thinking about that. I said to myself “okay that’s cool” (…) Of course when they told us on the 1000th episode we’re going to do an arc on your character, that’s cool! I tell myself that this is a great reward. I’m grateful when I tell myself that my character will be in the 1000th episode and that’s a good thing.

Where is Lionel compared to the master he was released from?

Lionel will be forced to retake the matriculation exam. We know the requirements of the institution, so he is obliged, in addition to everything that happens to him, to review the master’s degree. He was still valedictorian after that, so I guess he still has some resources. He’s not too bad at cooking, but yes, he’ll give up everything to get back to master because he has to go all the way, or he’d go to Dinar with Kelly, he decides to stop.

Lionel went through several stages: he was slapped in the face, his head was on his shoulders, he became a bit pretentious again. Why do we like Lionel?

Because I think that indirectly, we all know Lionel a little bit. A guy who does stupid things, who realizes he’s doing stupid things, who then does stupid things again. We all have a little Lionel in us in truth. We also like it because it was there from the beginning, and I think, unfairly, we like the characters that were there from the beginning a little more than others. We forgive them more easily than others. I think we like it because, in the end, this curmudgeon kind of ends up being cute.

And isn’t the daily newspaper part hard for side projects? Or, on the contrary, are you completely satisfied with where it all begins?

We always want more! But at the same time, when we do the day-to-day, we know that we’re going to shoot for the year. If I wasn’t there every day and had a “more traditional career”, I don’t know what I would do in a month, even on set. There, I know I’m going to tour, I know I’m not going to be hungry for games this year, so yeah, we always want more, but it’s a disguise in the sense that I’m still fed and I’m 23, I still have time to do other things .

Any projects on the side?

No, not since I came on the show. I didn’t have time, but if there is tomorrow, I know that we will definitely find an agreement to continue.
