Brazil’s Paralympic athletics medals have come in a variety of styles.
The Paris Paralympic Games began a week ago and Brazil stood out in the Paralympic medal table, finishing in 4th place. This Monday (2) was no different: the country achieved several victories in the sports grid, but in athletics the situation was a little more interesting. Brazil won three consecutive medals in sports, bronze, silver and gold, further increasing the number of medals of the Brazilian confederation.
This week, Athletics is in a decisive phase, as it heads towards the final. From this point of view, athletes Vinicius Rodrigues, Aser Ramos and Beth Gomes won 3 more medals for the country, respectively in the men’s 100 meters, long jump and discus throw. In the latter sport, Brazil won gold thanks to the victory of athlete Beth Gomes.

Vinicius Rodrigues won the bronze medal in the 100m T63 and his performance was remarkable throughout the race, as he was among the top runners from the start. This was not his first win at the Paralympic Games. Vinicius also won the silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020.
Another athlete who made history was the athlete Aser Ramos, who competed in the Long Jump category. This competition was very fierce and ended with the athlete’s second place: silver medal. However, it is still a very significant victory, since this is their first result in the games.
And finally, Beth Gomes, who won twice during the day, the first silver medal and finally a gold medal: shot put F54 and discus throw F53. The second victory, in the category Women’s discus throw, in addition to guaranteeing the athlete a second medal, also allowed her to set a new record in this sport.
