The itinerary covers 35 historic residences in northern Italy

Ville Castelli Dimore promises peaceful holidays in Veneto

Stroll through the immense parks and relax by bathing in the forest, refresh yourself among caves and fountains and get lost in the oldest boxwood labyrinth in the world. This is the proposal of Ville Castelli Dimore for a quiet holiday in 35 historic homes between Venice, Padua and Verona, in northern Italy.

The project innovates by bringing together the owners of historic residences in the region, built between the 15th and 19th centuries, who open their doors to visitors. Many of these buildings belonged to nobles of the “Serenissima”, as the ancient Republic of Venice was called.

“Through stays, exclusive experiences, visits and tastings, these ambassadors of the territory present to their guests the values of beauty, history, culture and Italian heritage, with the typical care of other times”, reads an official press release from Ville Castelli Dimore.

The routes cross strategic places in the Veneto, such as the heights of the Euganean Hills and the Dolomites, the blue shores of Lake Garda and the Po Delta, and get lost among the Prosecco Hills, without stopping there.

Among the highlights is the Tenuta Santa Maria de Gaetano Bertani, which includes a park, vineyards, a historic orchard, an old distillery and a historic cooperage. The residence was built in the 18th century in Venetian neoclassical style. The place is the only one dedicated to viticulture in the style of French castles.

A visit to the Pojega garden is also a must.

Built in the mid-18th century, the village represents one of the last examples of an Italian garden, with green geographical forms and original drawings from the Civic Library of Verona. In its over 54 thousand square kilometers, the space includes a temple, a theater, walls and galleries scattered in breathtaking landscapes. .
