In a duel between Montes, Carmelo triumphed! This Tuesday (3), Monte Carmelo defeated Montes Claros in the Minas Gerais men’s volleyball championship. The victory came with a score of 3 sets to 2 for the Carmelite team, in the partials of 20/25, 25/22, 25/23, 23/25 and 15/11.
This was Monte Carmelo’s first championship win in two games. Previously, the team lost 3-0 to Praia Clube. Montes Claros, on the other hand, suffered its second defeat. In the tournament opener, the team also lost 3-0 to Praia Clube.
The two great volleyball powers of Minas Gerais, Sada Cruzeiro and Minas Tênis Clube have already made their debut in the championship. Cruzeiro triumphed against JF Vôlei by 3 sets to 2, while Minas defeated the same rival by 3 sets to 0.
With the results, then, Praia Clube appears in the lead with six points. Minas follows with three points, Cruzeiro and Monte Carmelo with two. Finally, Montes Claros occupies JF Vôlei and Montes Claros occupies the 5th and 6th place with one point each.
