‘Only Murders in the Building’ renewed for season 5

The series Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for a 5th season. The series, broadcast on the platform Huluin the United States, it continues to garner praise from both critics and audiences. In Brazil, the series can be watched on Star+ (now in Disney+), as the Hulu service is not available in the country.

As with previous seasons, the fifth season will have 10 episodes. The news comes shortly after the premiere of the fourth season, released on August 27, 2024. The end of the current season is scheduled for October 29, 2024.

In this new phase, the main trio — composed of Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez — embarks on a trip to Los Angeles, where a movie studio is interested in turning their podcast into a movie. At the same time, they continue investigating the murder of Sazz Pataki (performed by Jane Lynch), stunt double for Steve Martin’s character.

The season also features a strong cast, including Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria and Melissa McCarthy.

Since its debut, Only Murders in the Building remains one of the platform’s biggest hits, with a 97% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and several Emmy nominations.
