Brian May Updates Fans on Recovery After Temporary Period of Immobility

Queen guitarist Brian May revealed on Wednesday (4/9) that he had suffered a stroke and temporarily lost mobility in his left arm. The musician shared the situation in a video posted on social media, updating fans on his recovery.

Accident Details

May explained that the stroke happened suddenly and frighteningly. “All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I lost control of this arm. It was very scary,” he said. The guitarist also mentioned the excellent medical care he received at Frimley Hospital in Surrey during his treatment.

Recovery process

Although he is recovering, the musician commented that he is not allowed to drive, fly or have excessive heart rate. May said she chose not to share the situation immediately to avoid any commotion or sympathy messages.

The news comes four years after the guitarist suffered a heart attack and injured his gluteal muscles while gardening.
