It will also be possible to disable the interface to increase immersion.
Developer Bloober Team has talked about the additional options players will be able to enjoy in the Silent Hill 2 remake (via GameSpot), including the ability to use a “90’s Filter” which adds grain effects, color correction, and image adjustments, aimed at giving the game a more retro look.
Interestingly, the name of the filter doesn’t seem to make sense, given that the original version of Silent Hill 2 was released in 2001. Either way, it seems like a nice addition.
Additionally, it was also revealed that players will be able to completely disable the game’s interface, in order to increase immersion in the terrifying town of Silent Hill.
The Silent Hill 2 remake arrives October 8 for PC and PlayStation 5.
