Attacking midfielder Ignacio Laquintana can finally make his debut with Santos. After all, he is regularized and will go to face Brusque, this Saturday (07), in the 25th round of Serie B, at 16:00, at the Arena Joinville. He will thus compete for a place with Otero in the starting lineup, but the Uruguayan should go on the bench in place of the Venezuelan.
However, striker Yusupha Njie and defender Luan Peres will not be available yet. The defender, in fact, has not even arrived in Brazil to start working at Santos.
Returns and absences at Santos
Peixe celebrates the return of Julio Furch and left back Escobar. The former returns after recovering from a sprained left shoulder, while the latter returns after serving a suspension in the 2-2 draw against Ponte Preta.
Santos, however, will not be able to count on right-back JP Chermont, as he plays for the Brazilian Under-20 team. Therefore, a probable lineup for the team led by Fábio Carille includes Gabriel Brazão; Hayner (Rodrigo Ferreira), Jair, Gil and Escobar; João Schmidt, Diego Pituca and Giuliano; Otero (Laquintana), Guilherme and Wendel Silva.
Santos needs a win to avoid complications in the fight for the Serie B title. Peixe is in fourth place, with 40 points, three behind the leader Novorizontino. Among them are also Mirassol and Vila Nova, both with 42. The team from Goiás, on the other hand, has already played the group.
