It’s Nice Girls, a summer detective comedy from Noemi Saglio (Connasse and Plan Cœur), which tells the story of the unlikely adventures of a duo of police officers who are forced to team up for a high-voltage investigation with Alice Taglioni and Steffi Selma.
They play two brave and bad cops and are surrounded by Noemi Lvovsky, Baptiste Lechaplain and Antoine Duler. In its second week of release, the film accumulated 2.6 million hours worldwide, which equates to 1.7 million complete views.
It is also found in ten out of nine countries, namely the Bahamas, Austria, Hungary, Luxembourg, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine and New Caledonia.
…and old movies are still hits
But surprisingly, in Netflix’s weekly top 10 of non-English language movies, we find two more French movies! Thus, under Sen, Xavier Gens’ Shark movie with Berenice Bejo and Naseem Lies remains on the platform as it sits at No. 7 since its release on June 5.
The feature film even set a record as the most viewed French film on Netflix and Second most watched non-English language film of all time With 176.8 million hours on the platform.
The third French feature to make the week’s top ten is The Wages of Fear, Julien Leclerc’s remake of the film classic, starring Franck Gastambide, Alban Lenoir, Sophien Zermann and Anna Girardeau.
Despite airing a few months ago — it was released on March 29 on Netflix — the action flick is No. 9, with 1.5 million hours watched this week. France is out in force this week on Netflix’s best movies.
