It’s almost Dog Day… You did a good job by going to the movies!

In honor of International Dog Day, the Jokers are hosting a screening day this weekend, Sunday, September 8, around the movie “The Trial of the Dog.” The opportunity to get to know the code and above all to do good: for each seat purchased, 1 euro will be donated to the association. Protection of animals.

What is a “dog trial”?

Presented as part of the Un Certain Regard section, Dog Trial Laetitia is Doshi’s first feature film. The Franco-Swiss actor delivers here an unclassifiable gem, an absurd and unusual fantasy, as well as dark and disturbing, in which, as a lawyer, he is responsible for protecting a dog that was threatened with euthanasia after biting a young woman. With the help of an animal owner (Francois Damien) and a dog behaviorist (Jean-Pascal Zad), he will do everything to win this incredible case that will divide society.

Court of the Dog has been selected at several festivals (Cannes, Champs-Élysées Film Festival, Angoulême…) and received the highly prized Palme d’Or!

Dog Palm Winner!

A year later, border collie Messy, aka Snoopy in Autumn Anatomy, Palme’s dog broke out a new Frenchie in Cannes. So it’s Cody, a gryphon cross, who (brilliantly) plays Cosmos in Letitia Dosh’s Court of the Dog.
