Directed by Tarsem and starring Lee Pace and Catinca Utaru, the film arrives on MUBI on September 27
MUBI released this Thursday, the 5th, the new trailer for the streaming premiere of the restored 4K version of The Fall — also known as Angel Stuntmanof Tarsem. From September 27th, the film will be available exclusively on the platform.
The 4K restoration ofThe Fall was acclaimed in this year’s edition of Locarno Festivalwith screening in Piazza Grande.
Filmed over four years, in 20 different locations around the world, the film stars Lee Pace (Foundation, Death Death Death, Captain Marvel, Halt and Catch Fire) and the Romanian actress Catinca Untaru.
Synopsis
In a Los Angeles hospital in the 1920s, an injured stuntman begins telling another patient—a little girl with a broken arm—a fantastical story about five mythical heroes.

About the director
The first groundbreaking work of Tarsem was the video for “Losing My Religion” by REMwhich won Video of the Year at the 1991 VMAs.
In 2000, he directed his first feature film, The Cellstarring Jennifer Lopez. His next film, The Fallwas released in the United States in 2008. He then directed Immortals (2011) with Henry Cavill, Mirror, Mirror on the Wall (2012) with Julia Robertsand No Return (2015), with Ryan Reynolds.

Between 2016 and 2017, Tarsem directed the ten-episode miniseries Emerald City for TV. In 2023, he directed his first feature film in Punjabi, the native language of India and Pakistan, Dear Jassiwinner of the Platform award at Toronto International Film Festival.
Among the numerous awards Tarsem has received are two Grand Prix de la Pres at the Cannes International Film Festival and the Lifetime Achievement Award from British Academy of Film, Television and Arts (BAFTA). His work is also on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
