The singer performed a medley of hits in English and Spanish during halftime of the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo
Anitta was the halftime show star of the first NFL game in Brazil, which took place on Friday night (6/12) at Corinthians Stadium, in Sao Paulo. The presentation was for American viewers. The singer ignored the Brazilian audience and performed a six-minute medley of hits only in English and Spanish, with a performance for a foreign audience.
With a funk dance inspired setting, similar to her “Funk Generation” tour, Anitta opened the show with the Spanish songs “Envolver” and “Bellakeo.” She then brought songs in English, such as “Loose Ya Breath” and “Savage Funk,” all from the “Funk Generation” album. The performance concluded with the instrumentals of “Vai Malandra” and “Funk Rave.”
Special participation in the event
The audience at the Neo Química Arena was divided between distancing themselves from the show and applauding the American version of Anitta. In addition to her, the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles also featured Luísa Sonza, who sang the Brazilian national anthem at the opening of the game, and Zeeba, who was responsible for presenting the North American anthem.
