Emmy Awards 2022: Squid Game, Succession and The White Lotus are new achievements

L’Academy of Television Arts and Sciences He recently revealed the names of the series that are in this year’s prestigious Emmy Awards ceremony. The official selection was announced on July 12 by JB Smoove (Larry and his navel) and Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine).

This 74th edition will be broadcast live across the Atlantic on September 12 and should decide the series of the year in various categories. Among the most nominated are, not surprisingly, the phenomenon Succession and The White Lotus – series for which almost the entire cast is nominated!

First of all, Squid Game achieves a new milestone: The Netflix success is the first foreign fiction to be nominated in a major category! On the other hand, it’s a disappointment for Stranger Things, which receives only one nomination in the main category – best drama series.
