Funny, quirky, glamorous… 15 must-see stars from the 2024 Venice Film Festival

The prestigious Italian film festival, the Venice Film Festival, has lifted the curtain and revealed the prize list.

The Golden Lion, Mostra’s highest award, was presented to The Room Door by Pedro Almodovar, chaired by Isabelle Huppert, President of the Official Competition Jury.

The feature film starring Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton and John Turturro, which follows the poor creatures of Yorgos Lanthimos, does not yet have a release date in France.

On the acting side, Nicole Kidman won the Volpe Award for Best Actress for her role in Babygirl. The Wolpe Trophy for Best Actor went to Vincent Lindon for his performance in “Playing with Fire.” Paul Kircher received the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Most Promising Actor for his role in Their Children After Them.
