Tonight, as it was morning in the US, nominees for the 74th TV Emmy Awards were announced in Los Angeles. HBO’s Descendants is the top nominee in 25 categories. Other nominees for Outstanding Drama Series were Squid Game, Stranger Things, Euphoria, Separation, Better Call Saul, and The Hornets.
Among the comedy series announced are “Ted Lasso” (he has 20 nominations), “Barry”, “The Amazing Mrs Maisel”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and other films. Of the mini-series, “White Lotus” is in the lead, it will compete for the title of the best with the series “Inventing Anna”, “Breaking”, “The Dropout” and “Pam & Tommy”.
Zendaya received her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, becoming the youngest nominee in the history of the award. Reese Witherspoon, Jodie Comer and other distinguished actresses are also announced in it.
