Magic, magic, and your movies still have genius. Twelve years after the release of the first part, the Elusive saga will return to the cinema in 2025. With a new director, most of the original cast and some newcomers. Before W9 airs part two this Monday, September 9, let’s take a look at what we know.
Release date: When will we see Elusive 3?
Elusive 3 will be released on November 14, 2025 in the United States, where it will be called Now you see me 3. A French date has yet to be announced, but it’s hard to imagine the feature skipping France, where the previous two opuses drew 3,021,146 and 2,105,555 viewers, respectively. Will we meet on Wednesday, November 12, or even the day before, which will be a public holiday?

Third director for as many films. After Louis Leterrier and John Chu, it’s time for Ruben Fleischer. What will be his fourth franchise after Venom, Uncharted and especially Welcome to Zombieland, in which he has already directed Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, will be found here.
Casting: Who is starring in Elusive 3?
We take the same part and start over. Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo will return from the first film. As is Isla Fisher, who had to miss the second installment because she was pregnant during filming (and was replaced by Lizzy Caplan) and returns to play some bad tricks.
Unless there is a surprise, the villain of the second opus, played by Daniel Radcliffe, will not be there. But the newcomers are prestigious: Justice Smith (I Saw the TV Glow, coming soon to VOD), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), and even Dominic Sesa, who was announced last year thanks to Winter Break. In roles whose content we do not know. Obviously.
Plot: What will Elusive 3 be about?
A magician never reveals his tricks. Nor did the saga plot the story of each opus before its release, except for the first, because it was necessary to present the Four Horsemen to the public, so much so that the film was not inspired by pre-existing material.
We can expect a classic pattern in this third (and final?) episode “The last shot seems easy and then I stop” ? Unless the Cavaliers are forced to show up again to face a rival gang?
It has not escaped your attention that there are four new arrivals and they can form a quartet that acts as a pretend cavalier. Copycats that make the originals come back to the forefront, clear their name and remind people that they are the best. Verdict in November 2025 or in the first trailer?
