The Bahian singer accused of destroying an apartment and the artist speak

The Bahian singer from the band Psirico remained on site for a series of performances and is now facing legal proceedings.

Bahian singer Márcio Victor, lead singer of the group Psirico, has been accused of causing extensive damage to a rented apartment in São Paulo, where he stayed during a series of shows. According to the report by the owner Cristina Vaz, in the column Fábia Oliveira, of Metrópoles, the total loss would amount to around R$20,000.

According to the complaint, Márcio and a consultant had rented a property in the Republic region, but, when they left the place last Saturday (25), the apartment was found in very poor condition. The owner claimed that the singer did not respect the rules of the club and promoted a party with alcohol and drug use, even though she said it was just a meeting. “They also burned the pots. They were banned from the platform because they broke all the rules. They smoked inside the house, dirty everything and damaged the objects,” said Cristina.

The owner produced documents showing dirt and several broken items. The budget for repairs reached R $ 20,628.90. According to her, the Bahian singer’s advisor promised to cover the expenses, but did not fulfill the agreement. “I don’t think he imagined that the amount would be so high. After that, they kept stalling and didn’t pay. I contacted the platform’s insurance, which only reimbursed me a part,” he said.

Meanwhile, the advisors of the Bahian singer also spoke. Breaking the silence, the statement specifies that the singer is the victim of defamation and attempted blackmail. The team emphasizes that the delivery of the apartment took place normally. However, the owner discovered Márcio’s identity and demanded payment after threatening him.

“This is an attempt to defame and exploit the public image of a loved and respected artist,” reads the statement signed by the singer’s lawyers.

“The singer Márcio Victor, lead singer of Psirico, through his Legal Consultant – Habib Advocacia, comes forward to clarify the information recently released, based on a false accusation and motivated by those who tried to blackmail and unduly exploit themselves, to the detriment of the artist, unequivocal victim of the situation.

The artist regularly rented an apartment via the Airbnb platform, in his own name, in full payment and in compliance with the platform’s rules.

At the end of the stay, the property was delivered in normal conditions of use, with only the natural dirt resulting from the occupation, duly covered by the cleaning costs already included in the rental price.

The dispute began when the owner of the property discovered the identity of the guest and began to unduly demand payment of R$ 20,628.90, threatening to release manipulated notes and images to the press that were not consistent with the real situation of the property, if the singer did not give in to the blackmail.

It is important to highlight that, on the Airbnb platform itself, the official complaint presented by the rental company refers to the amount of R$ 5,909.90, a figure much lower than that made public.

Even more serious is the fact that the invoice presented by the complainant was issued by a company of which the tenant is the sole member, presenting herself simultaneously as provider and recipient of the service, which removes any legitimacy from the charge and reinforces the improper nature of the attempt to obtain an economic advantage.

Márcio Victor vehemently repudiates all forms of slander, defamation and blackmail, reaffirming his career of over two decades guided by ethics, respect, joy and commitment to the public.

The artist has never been involved in any situation that would discredit his personal or professional conduct. Wherever he goes, he is recognized for his education, humility and professionalism, values that have accompanied him since the beginning of his musical journey and which have made him a reference of charisma and integrity in the national artistic scene.

Márcio Victor’s legal team, represented by Habib Advocacia, will take appropriate legal measures to hold those involved accountable for spreading false information and protect the image and honor of one of the country’s most respected artists.

Márcio Vítor reinforces his love for his audience and for art, highlighting his trust in Brazilian justice and expressing his refusal to spread information without due investigation.”
