‘Dahmer’ Sequel: Netflix Reveals Final Trailer for Menendez Brothers Series

Netflix has released, this Tuesday (10), the final trailer of the series “Monsters – Menendez Brothers: Killers of Their Parents”, the second season of the anthology that began with “Dahmer: An American Cannibal”. The production will tell the story of brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, convicted after the brutal murder of their parents in the 80s. The Menendez Brothers Story is the second in the anthology

Following the success of the story of cannibalistic serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, Netflix announced that the production would become an anthology with three seasons. The second is “Monsters – Menendez Brothers: Killers of Their Parents” and is directed by award-winning producer Ryan Murphy.

Like the first, the sequel will also deal with a brutal crime with a detailed exploration of the reasons that led the characters to commit them. The premiere date on Netflix is ​​set for September 19, at 4 am (Brasilia time). Watch the final trailer:

The Menendez Brothers Case

Lyle and Erik Menendez were convicted of the brutal murder of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, two millionaires in the American music industry, in 1989. The crime took place in Beverly Hills, California, and shocked the United States for its violent nature and apparent lack of motivation.

The Menendez brothers even tried to cover up the crime by claiming that the execution had been ordered by a gangster, but they were discovered and arrested. The prosecution argued that the couple wanted to inherit the family fortune, while the defense argued that the brothers had been victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse by their parents. To this day, the duo remains firm in this version.

Lyle and Erik Menendez were convicted of first-degree murder in two separate trials and were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
