But for a whole new generation, the three wizarding heroes of the Harry Potter saga are now associated with the artists chosen for the TV adaptations of JK Rowling’s novels.
The Harry Potter TV series will definitely see the light of day in 2026 on the Max platform. At the speed of one season in the book (that’s seven seasons in total), this new version promises to stay more faithful to the novels and spend more time on characters and sub-seasons.

Millions of young Britons will be able to try their luck!
The announcement published by HBO attracted the attention of fans of the world of Harry Potter. The American channel actually announced the competition for the three main roles in the series. Which therefore confirms that the production is primarily looking for young, unknown actors, at least for the three heroes of the program.
The conditions for participation in the casting are as follows. You must live in the UK or Ireland and be aged between nine and eleven at the time of casting. Each candidate must submit two videos: the first of 30 seconds will be a free text reading (but must not be taken from the Harry Potter novels), and the second will consist of a one-minute self-portrait.
The ad also claims this “Casting is inclusive and focused on diversity”. Thus, the production agrees to accept any application “Regardless of ethnicity, sex, disability, skin color, sexual orientation, gender identity”.
The application deadline is October 31, and filming is scheduled to begin next year.
The Harry Potter series will air exclusively on Max in 2026.
