Formula 1 out of the Band? Channel reacts to next weekend’s race

This Tuesday (10), the top management of the São Paulo broadcaster closed the mystery and confirmed the broadcast of the Azerbaijan GP this weekend, between September 13th, 14th and 15th.

In its official vehicles, Band announced the performance of free practice, qualifying and the Grand Prix on open TV, pay TV, streaming and group radio.

Free Training 1, lasting 1 hour, is scheduled for Friday at 6:30 a.m. The same applies to Free Training 2, starting at 10:00 a.m. Both events will be broadcast on BandSports.

On Saturday, Allenamento Libero 3 will appear first, at 5:30, also on the pay channel. The ranking is scheduled for 9, in the time slot. The race should start on Sunday at 8:00 live on TV and radio.

In a relationship crisis with Liberty Media, The band is expected to lose Formula 1 to GloboThe Marinho family broadcaster has started talks with the North American company to broadcast F1 in 2025 and beyond.

The deal has not been officially announced due to Liberty Media’s contract with Band, which runs until the end of 2025, but with the possibility of termination in the coming days due to problems behind the scenes.
