Illia ‘Golem’ Yefimchyk from Belarus was famous for sharing his tough workout routine; death confirmed by wife
Known for sharing his eating and exercise routine on social media, Belarusian bodybuilder Illia Golem Yefimchyk died at the age of 36 due to cardiac arrest. The death occurred last week and was reported by Nexta TV, later confirmed by Yefimchyk’s wife, Anna.
From the photos and videos shared, it was possible to notice the large volume of muscles of Yefimchyk, who was 1.85 m tall and weighed just over 160 kg. To maintain this physical size, the Belarusian consumed more than 16 thousand calories a day. I divide all of this into seven meals over a 24-hour period.
According to local media sources, Illia Yefimchyk needed urgent medical care on September 6 after suffering cardiac arrest. The man was transferred to the hospital by helicopter, and the medical team managed to temporarily turn his situation around.
After being revived by doctors, Yefimchyk remained hospitalized in the emergency room but did not survive and died two days later. According to the death report, the athlete was confirmed brain dead.
According to a bodybuilding website, Volt FitnessIllia Golem Yefimchyk aimed to be recognized by people as a “monster” because of his physical strength. The athlete could lift more than 270 kg in the bench and more 300kg in the movement known as “deadlift.”
