Uglynew Netflix film starring Joey King (The Kissing Booth) and Chase Stokes (Outer Banks), debuts on the streaming platform starting this Friday, September 13th. The novelty is based on the first book of the homonymous franchise by Scott Westerfeld.
What is the story of Ugly?
Ugly takes place in a dystopian future where, at the age of 16, everyone must undergo plastic surgery to become perfect. Tally Youngblood (Joey King) is one of the people most eager to go through the procedures and join society definitively.
However, when a childhood friend shirks her obligation, Tally embarks on a journey to save her, which also leads her to discover that everything she believed in may not be such a beautiful dream.
