Franchise trailer: Chaotic behind-the-scenes superhero movie starring Marvel and The Boys

If you’re tired of Marvel and DC superhero movies and love the cynicism and parody side of The Boys, you’re welcome. HBO just released the trailer for its highly anticipated next series, which goes behind the scenes of superhero franchises and cinematic universes.

“Lights, Cameras, Anxiety”

Announced last year, the franchise is finally coming to HBO and the MAX platform, and the first images are truly inspiring. This comedy takes us behind the scenes of a disastrous superhero movie.

We follow the team of the most beloved franchise as they fight to maintain their fragile place in the ruthless world of cinema. The series, consisting of 30-minute episodes, asks the following question: “How is cinematic magic made? Because every dud has an origin story”.

Green backdrops, blue backdrops, special effects, costumes, budgets, producers under pressure, self-absorbed actors, a technical team at the end of their rope… the best and worst shots of what promises to be a series. As funny as it is breathtaking.

In the casting, we find actors who are passionate about the superhero genre, such as Daniel Bruhl (Captain America: Civil War, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier), Richard E. Grant (Loki) and Aya Cash (Boys).

They are joined by Himesh Patel (Yesterday, Tenet), Loli Adefop (Miracle Workers, Saltburn), Darren Goldstein (The Affair, Ozark), Jessica Hince (Years and Years), Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die, Many Saints of Newark). – A Sopranos Story) and Isaac Powell (Past Lives, American Horror Story).

The franchise was created and written by John Brown, screenwriter of Misfits and Succession, and the first episode is directed by Sam Mendes (Skyfall, 1917), who also serves as an executive producer.

The TV series “Franchiza” will be broadcast on the MAX platform from October 7.
