THE Emmys 2024 is coming. The award, organized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the United States, is one of the most prestigious in television and exists to recognize series, television films and programs created for television in the previous year. Now in its 76th edition, this year’s Emmy covers series that aired between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024 on North American television and the awards ceremony will take place this Sunday, September 15!
The Emmys are divided into four main events (Primetime Emmy, Daytime Emmy, Creative Arts Emmy and International Emmy). The top awards include categories like Best Drama Series, Best Comedy Series, and Best Actor and Actress. Will your favorites be the big winners?
What is the Emmy?
Winning series are chosen by voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which is comprised of actors, directors, writers and members of Hollywood’s creative industries. Only series whose seasons aired between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024 are eligible to compete.
When are the Emmys?
The ceremony will take place this Sunday, September 15, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The evening’s hosts will be actors Eugene and Dan Levy, a father and son team who previously won awards for the comedy “Schitt’s Creek.”
Where to watch the 2024 Emmys?
The Emmys will air in Brazil on TNT and Max. From 8:15 p.m., the television channel and streaming platform will present the pre-show, with the participation of actress Fabiula Nascimento who will comment. The official broadcast of the ceremony will begin at 9 p.m., Brasilia time.
