Former Romanian tennis player Ione TiriacThe 85-year-old, who has an estimated net worth of $2.2 billion (R$12.2 billion), according to Forbes magazine, shared an unusual fact about his car collection. Passionate about vehicles, Tiriac even forgot a Ferrari F40 for 10 years in a parking lot.

According to specialized websites, a car of the same model has a value between 1.5 million dollars (R$8.35 million) and 2.5 million dollars (R$14 million).

The story was told by him in an interview where he talks about his vast car collection. Tiriac owns about 400 cars, currently exhibited in a museum in Bucharest, Romania. But it wasn’t always like this.

In the interview he recalls that when he started his collection he didn’t have space to store all the cars. That’s when he bought the Ferrari and had to leave it in a parking lot in Monaco, Germany.

The collector, however, forgot about the luxury car. It was only 10 years later that the garage owner decided to call Tiriac and remind him of the car.

After overcoming the situation, the former tennis player ended up deciding to sell the Ferrari. Since it had been parked for so long, the car had to return to the factory in Italy to have the engine repaired.
