Coppola’s new film Megalopolis gets a poster with the full cast

Production led by Adam Driver (Star Wars), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, arrives in Brazilian cinemas in October

O2 Play released, this Tuesday (17), a new national poster of Megalopoliswhich brings the complete cast of the new Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather), scheduled to premiere in Brazilian cinemas in October.

What is the story of Megalopolis?

In the film, the city of Nova Roma is the scene of an epic conflict between Caesar Catiline (Adam DriverStar Wars), a brilliant artist in favor of a utopian and idealistic future, and his opponent, the greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito, Kaleidoscope).

Between the two is Julia Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel, Fast & Furious 10), with loyalty divided between his father, Franklynand her beloved, Caesartrying to decide what future humanity deserves. Watch the trailer:

When will the new product be released?

Written and directed by Coppola, Megalopolis It took forty years to finally reach movie theaters. The idea for the film came about in the 1980s, but the filmmaker was unable to secure funding to make the film at the time and ended up selling some of his properties to get the story off the ground.

The feature film — which also features Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man), Shia Labeouf (The Peanut Butter Falcon), Jason Schwartzman (Asteroid City), Laurence Fishburne (John Wick 4: Baba Yaga) and Jon Voight (Ray Donovan) in the cast — debut in October 31st in Brazilian cinemas.
