The Paralympic Festival promises to rock the CPB Training Center next Saturday (21). The event will bring together children with and without disabilities from all over Brazil for a morning of fun parasport experiences.
The Festival centers will host at least three modalities. At the CT Paralímpico, in São Paulo, for example, children will compete in athletics, badminton and ping pong. The choice of modalities in each municipality varies according to the vocations of the region and guarantees a diversified offer throughout Brazil.
“These modalities are very strong in our Reference Center. It is very interesting to have our champions here at the Festival, along with their coaches, who will be responsible for directing some activities,” said Fábio Vasconcelos. He is the coordinator of the João Pessoa Reference Center and coach of the Brazilian blind football team.
“It will be a very interesting integration with the students, which will be able to inspire those children who, for the most part, will try their hand at this sport for the first time. With the champions next to them, the participants will realize that it is possible to be a high-performance athlete”, he concluded.

In the Northeast Region, in João Pessoa (PB), children will be able to try three sports: athletics, blind football and taekwondo. In addition, for each modality, there will be at least one medalist from the Paris-2024 Paralympic Games to interact with and encourage the participating children. The sprinter Petrúcio Ferreira, the thrower Cícero Nobre, the taekwondo fighter Silvana Fernandes and the blind footballers Jardiel Vieira and Maicon Junior.
Another center that will have among its attractions the possibility of practicing sports alongside a Parisian medalist is located in the North region, in Macapá (AP). There, the Paralympic Festival will host athletics, archery and sitting volleyball. The thrower Wanna Brito has already confirmed and will show her technique to the participating children.
