Caio Paulista’s ex-girlfriend claims the player locked her in the house and cheated on her often

In an interview with Domingo Espetacular, Clara Monteiro provided more details about the assault allegations

Clara Monteiro, ex-girlfriend of player Caio Paulista who accuses him of assault, revealed that the athlete left her locked in the couple’s home when he needed to go out to train. According to Clara, Caio often cheated on her.

After months of being attacked, Clara decided to file a complaint with the police and report the events.

“The beginning was all roses and flowers, that silly little passion, those butterflies in the stomach,” she revealed in an interview with Domingo Espetacular. However, the situation quickly changed and within a few months of dating Clara was allegedly attacked. The attack, according to her ex, occurred after Caio had gone to a club.

“I begged, I humiliated myself, asking him to leave. And then he, drunk, started kicking me, he started on my leg. He kicked me in the leg, only in the leg. I lost my strength. I punched him in the ribs,” she said.

After the birth of her one-year-old daughter Maria Clara, she was reportedly attacked again, but this time in public. She also said that she received no help from those present. “The security guards simply made room for him to reach me. He reached out and pulled me by the arm. They saw everything. They did absolutely nothing.”

“[Caio]as always, it smells of cachaça, of alcohol. I said: “I’m not getting in that car”. He punched me from below, hitting me in the eyes. I couldn’t hear anything, my head was buzzing. I just remember arriving at the parking ramp at home”, he added.

According to Clara, Caio couldn’t avoid the betrayal and admitted it calmly. “He said he couldn’t do it, that it was stronger than him. He needed to be flattered. Today I feel destroyed. And I don’t know what to do until I have some answers. Because it’s very difficult.”

She also explained how she felt and revealed that her daughter was the reason she was able to face her fear. “I was very scared. And very ashamed, mostly. But it crossed my limit. I didn’t want to get to that point, but unfortunately it was my only chance to get out of it all. And also for the sake of my daughter.”

Clara also said that Caio has not helped her daughter with basic expenses since July. “It’s been two months since I last knew what it was like to receive absolutely anything. I’ve already sold all the bags he gave me, sandals, sneakers, everything. So I can buy milk and diapers for my daughter. He has been absent several times,” she told Domingo Espetacular.

Even if he had spent R$250,000 on his 26th birthday party, Caio would not have contributed to his daughter’s birthday. “I will do everything I can for her. I have already sold everything she gave me, I hope she does her job as a father.”

The case

On September 15, Clara posted photos of bruises on social media and reported episodes of violence, declaring that she was “tired of remaining silent” and wishing strength to all women who are going through the same situation she experienced in her relationship with Caio Paulista, who denied the accusations.
