Seven years after Criminal Squad, Gerard Butler and director Christian Gudegast are back with a sequel called Pantera. With a budget of $30 million, the first installment grossed $80 million worldwide, so Lionsgate decided to continue.
In this film, Donnie (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) finds himself involved with the Panther Mafia, who are planning a huge diamond heist. Nick (Butler) is chased across Europe to stop dangerous thieves before they rob the world’s largest diamond exchange. Gerard Butler will share the poster with Oshie Jackson Jr., who is already in the cast of the first installment.
The trailer of the action movie was released recently. Not content with robbing thugs, the hero here infiltrates them. Did Nick really turn his coat or is this a ploy to catch the bad guys? The Answer in theaters January 22nd!
Criminal Squad 2: Panther This isn’t the only 2025 movie you’ll see Gerard Butler in, as the actor will appear in Dean DeBlois’ live-action How to Train Your Dragon from June 11, 2025. The British actor plays Hiccup’s father, Stoick. The actor hasn’t appeared in a movie since Jean-Francois Richet’s Maid, released in January 2023.
