Omoda 5 gets a makeover before arriving in Brazil

The SUV will debut on the Brazilian market at the beginning of 2025, but it will already be presented with a new look in Russia, where it was launched two years ago

It hasn’t even arrived in Brazil yet, but the Omoda 5 will already change. The Russian branch of the brand, which belongs to Chery, has published the first photo of the restyling of the SUV two years after its launch. Thus, the combustion version of the model, called C5 there, gets a more discreet look and is closer to the electric E5.

Among the changes that appear in the image, you can see that the LED daytime running lights, which are located near the hood, are a bit thinner and have a different shape. They are now joined by a black bar with the Omoda lettering in the center.

The bumper has also been redesigned and forms an X-design in the overall look. But the big difference is in the front grille: instead of large hollow diamonds of different sizes set with small shiny dots, the piece now features small closed diamonds along its entire length.

No photos of the rear have been revealed yet, but the rest of the car appears unchanged. The sides retain the high beltline and sharp lines, however there is a new body-colored paint job at the end of the D-pillar. New wheels also appear. The SUV should also get more interior trim and color options, according to the automaker.
