Superman: The Moviea 1978 classic directed by Richard Donner (Lethal Weapon) and starring Christopher Reevewho passed away in 2004, reopens in Brazilian cinemas starting this Thursday, September 26th.

What is the story of Superman: The Movie?

Shortly before the destruction of the planet Krypton, the scientist Jor-El sends his little son, Kal-Elin a spaceship to Earth. Raised by simple farmers, the young man, renamed Clark Kent, discovers the source of his superpowers and moves to Metropolis to fight evil.

In addition to Christopher Reeve, Superman: The Movie also stars Gene Hackman (Unforgiven) as Lex Luthor, Marlon Brando (The Godfather) as Jor-El, Margot Kidder (Fright Night) as Lois Lane and Glenn Ford (Gallant and Bloody) as Jonathan Kent, Clark’s father on Earth. Watch the trailer:

The relaunch of Superman: The Movie prepares the hero’s fans for the documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Storywhich is set to premiere on October 17 on Max. The production details the trajectory of the character’s interpreter, from his success as the hero to the accident that left him quadriplegic in 1995, with the help of never-before-seen footage and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.
