This is one of the most popular blockbusters of the nineties. In Air Force One, released in 1996, Harrison Ford, known for countless iconic roles, donned the costume of the fictional President of the United States, James Marshall, for the first time. A character that will surely make him happy.
This action film by Wolfgang Petersen depicts the hostage taking of the American head of state, his family and his cabinet on the famous official plane Air Force One by a group of terrorists. On screen, Harrison Ford is surrounded by Gary Oldman and Glenn Close in Vice President suits.
Enter the Marvel Universe
For his next film project, the American actor will play the President of the United States for the second time in a very different film: Captain America – Brave New World. Harrison Ford enters the Marvel Universe with a new opus of the hero imagined by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. It is the fourth installment after 2014’s The Winter Soldier and 2016’s Civil War.
The first images of the film, revealed via the trailer, introduce a stunning president named Thaddeus Ross who transforms into… the red Hulk. Two months later, the actor will also be cast in another Marvel production, Thunderbolts*, in which he will play the same character.
Captain America: Brave New World is slated to hit theaters on February 12, 2025, while Thunderbolts* will be released on April 30.
To be interested in other projects, you should contact the television. Harrison Ford will return to the 1923 series, a prequel to The Yellowstone Phenomenon, to film a second season. He will also star in Season 2 of the Apple TV+ series Shrinking alongside Jason Segel.
